School Horse of the Month

Ginger Snap (aka Ginger) is a 15'2hh Quarter Horse Mare; Chestnut colored with a blaze, snip and white hind sock, and loved by all! Ginger is mainly known for her super sweet disposition, calm demeanor, & willingness to try anything.  She tends to fall asleep in the cross-ties enjoying grooming and attention, but wakes up and is ready to work upon entering the ring.  Ginger has been a school horse at SaddleBack since October 2012 and has become one of the favorites! Prior to SaddleBack she was owned by an adult amateur rider and most of her history was western riding; however, Ginger adapted to English riding at SaddleBack extremely well and loves to jump!

Ginger showed competitively with SaddleBack in the 2'3 hunter divisions but recently retired down to the 18" Short/Long Stirrup to keep her happy and sound. She is not papered, however, veterinarians have estimated her age to be around 22 years old, although she acts much younger.   Ginger has taught many SaddleBack riders how to ride and canter for the 1st time, and she has taken numerous riders over their very 1st crossbar jump. She is the "go-to" horse for any rider that is nervous or timid as she helps build confidence with her smooth gait, easy transitions and non-spook. She is especially a favorite amount the adult riders.  Schedule your ride with Ginger today if you have not yet had the opportunity to ride this amazing, sweet mare!

SaddleBack has 12 school horses available for lessons, partial leases & showing. Lessons: $35 group/$40 private, $40 group/$45 private jumping. Partial Leases: $275/month for all horse expenses (lessons &/or showing extra, at discount).
