We also plan to do a Christmas merchandise order mid-November! We will send out EM and post on tack room window. This will include our most popular items to have guaranteed here before Christmas. Doing our bulk order should eliminate any shipping costs. What a way to get some Christmas shopping done early?!

SaddleBack In Barn Halloween Show - Sat, Nov 3rd!

The SaddleBack In-Barn Fall Horse Show will be Saturday, November 3rd. The Prize-List and Sign-up sheets are posted on tack room window. Entry forms available in tack room. A $50 deposit & Entry Form are required when signing up to reserve your preferred school horse. Total show cost for a full division w/school horse is $150 & cost w/own horse is $120. This is a great opportunity for riders to get a taste of what shows are like, and for those already showing to practice moving up a division.

Immediately following the final class of the show will be the Halloween Party, including the costume contest: Estimated time of start is 2pm. Come join us for a fun afternoon of costume parade, painted pumpkin display, and candy/treats. The costume parade contest starts at 2:30 in the Jumper Ring. Sign-ups are posted on the tack-room window in late September. Sign up early as over 20 people signed up & participated last year! Also, bring your painted (not carved) pumpkin to display/be voted on, and we will later place the pumpkins around the arena and under jumps for all to enjoy during lessons. We're offering prizes for the winning pumpkin and for each costume category!

Fall Beginner Lesson Sessions are FULL!

The Fall Sessions may be full; however, we are offering a beginner lesson package Special available for $285--that is a 15% discount! The package consists of (8) weekly lessons: (2) private lessons and (6) group lessons. Final 2018 Horse Shows

It's hard to believe but the 2017 show season is almost over! Sign-up sheets for remaining few October-November shows are posted on the tack room window. These final shows are listed above in Upcoming Events. Sign-up ASAP if you wish to show. Discount stall payment for Fall Finale due by November 1--$125 vs $200 after 11/1. The next local show season typically does not start until March/April.

We would like to give a warm Welcome to our new trainer Megan Whitworth! She is the proud owner of the Beautiful Willow, and Handsome Scout! Megan started riding around the age of 5, and grew up riding and showing around Tulsa. By the age of 15 she’d won several year end ribbons from HJEO, and had found a passion and knack for the young and problem horses. While in college, she began teaching lessons and discovered a love for helping people grow as equestrians.
After graduating from Oklahoma State, Megan moved to Fort Worth to work as an Assistant Trainer at a competitive upper level show barn. While there, Megan was not only able to fine tune her skills as a rider and trainer- starting horses under saddle, developing them for the show ring, and showing through 1.20m; but she was also able to develop as a knowledgeable, capable, and patient instructor. Her students showed through all levels- from local to AA shows- and earned many champions, reserves, circuit, and year end awards- including qualifying for IEA National Finals.
Since moving back to Tulsa, Megan has focused on the riding and training of green horses and even earned a 3rd Place Horse of the Year for Zone 7 in the 3’6 Green Conformation Hunters with her personal show horse in 2016.
Her goals are to create dependable, healthy, capable, athletes that love their jobs and to help people unearth the same love for riding and that she has- both in and out of the show ring. She is teaching some weeknights and weekends here at SaddleBack. Please say Hi to Megan and her horses and help us welcome her to our team!

Congratulations to Katie W on the purchase of Johnny!! We're delighted to have him at SaddleBack and are so happy for the two of you!

Summers At SaddleBack are back with new activities, crafts, & games! We make learning to ride FUN!!! SaddleBack has had a blast with 3 camps already held this June and has just 2 camps left! A Big Welcome to SaddleBack's newest Boarders!
Welcome horses Willow, Scout and Lord to SaddleBack! Willow and Scout are owned by Megan W who was a boarder with us years ago and we're delighted to have her back. Willow is her Warmblood show mare, and Scout is her young Thoroughbred in training (with a forelock to die for)! Lord is a 5 year old Oldenburg out of Lord Z imported from England and is Jamey's new baby. He has a tail to match Scout's forelock! All 3 are sweet as can be with great personalities, and we couldn't be happier to have them!

Lease a SaddleBack horse for the Summer!
Do you know all of our school horses? Would you like to lease one for the summer? What better way to spend time with your favorite horse this summer by leasing one of our school horses from June-August! Take a look at our new Lease page on our website! Each school horse is proudly displayed with their own photo and bio so you get to know them better! We have 3 month leases available for $325/ month on many of our 12 school horses such as Bishop, Penny, Payday, Lily, Belle, Brady, Beau, Charlie & more! In addition to riding, you get $5 off each lesson, 2-3 scheduled rides a week (30-40 min in length), and 1st priority on horse shows and lessons! Be sure to tell your friends about this beginner lesson program for Spring. You will receive 1 free lesson for anyone you refer that signs up for the Spring session. Parent/Rider Questionnaire & Parent/Trainer Conferences
SaddleBack supports our students’ goals by working with each student to help achieve them. For some, riding lessons may be a way to exercise and socialize. For others, it becomes a passion they continue to pursue through horse shows, college, and even a chosen career path. With this in mind, SaddleBack has tried to provide each parent (or adult if adult rider) a Questionnaire to be completed and dropped into the red Payment box in the Tack Room. This short 5-10 minute Questionnaire will help us better understand your goals and better inform you of all SaddleBack and this sport has to offer!

Questionnaires are available via email or texting SaddleBack and printed copies located in the tack room. Please complete the survey ASAP--print off & bring to next lesson, fill out during your child's lesson, or take copy home & bring back, dropping into red Payment box in tack room once completed.

The Questionnaire offers an opportunity for you to sign up for a free 15-minute one-on-one conference with your trainer to discuss goals, questions, programs, and any SaddleBack news that you or your child may want to know about. Also, you may request information in the Questionnaire without scheduling a conference if you'd like. SaddleBack supports our students’ goals by working with each student to help achieve them. For some, riding lessons may be a way to exercise and socialize.
